Random Acts of Kindness
We all hear about the scammers, the rude people and the general jerks, but we seldom talk about the good things that happen in game. What are some kind things that someone has done for you in game?
~Someone in Lion's Arch said, "Happy Valentine's Day to all you ladies!" in chat on Tues. I responded by saying, "Thank you very much ^.^" BTW, I had never met him before. Then he walked up to me and told me he had a present for me. Turns out he gave me 5k, no strings attached. Very noble indeed.
~Someone walked up to me in game and gave my lvl 10 Ele a Flint's Artifact out of the blue. I had never met him before either. That was very nice, too.
It's good to know there are still kind people around.

Sometimes I like to hang onto some max damage items and go into Frontier Gate and give them away randomly to some low level character that will have use for it at least eventually.

Had you said, "Thank you very much, but I'm a guy" instead, I bet he would have kept his 5k. Very noble indeed.

Hmm.. On my very first character, this monk which had a warrior ran me throughout the whole game. He gave me gold staffs for each element, taught me the ropes on how to nuke properly, gave me materials, gave me a decent amount of gp, and he was really humerous. I later repayed him by giving him 20 or so Ecto. It was the last he needed for his FoW. I'm still friends with him to this day, except my elemental was deleted due to my cousin's idiocy.

Yeah, amongst all the scammers, flamers, and idiots, there's some nice, pure souls. I paid a runner extra once (though I hardly hire runners). Sometimes I just drop money all over as well. It's a good feeling to give or receive, especially in an online world with many crazy people.

I help people for free all the time, I just feel no need to be praised for it.
